OUR FIRST BIG GRANT!
We are proud to announce that PETCO has awarded us a Capital Improvements grant to renovate the C.A.T. Mobile! Grants for animal rescue are few and far between and there's lot of competition. We are very excited and very humbled by Petco's faith in us. They have been wonderful supporters and we especially want to thank Kelly Kwan, manager of the NMB store, for his loyalty and generosity.

Our new project, the C.A.T. Mobile! (C.A.T. stands for Cat Adoption Team.) The purpose of the C.A.T. Mobile is to facilitate the adoption of as many animals as we can into loving homes and make it easier for Miami-Dade and Broward residents to find a special pet.
This is definitely a work in progress. We must outfit the RV inside and out to accomplish our goal. We have applied for grants but most of the work in the meantime falls to volunteers and people supporting our dream. We hope you will help us!
The C.A.T. Mobile is a self-contained vehicle that will bring friendly, adoptable cats and kittens to community events. The C.A.T. Mobile will visit businesses, street fairs, schools, farmers markets, churches, synagogues, ballparks, flea markets, concerts, etc. -- wherever the community congregates, to conduct adoptions, raise funds and distribute educational materials.
C.A.T. Mobile Facts:
The C.A.T. Mobile will:
· Generate tremendous awareness of homeless cats
· Allow potential adopters to quickly see how wonderful rescue cats can be
· Let people adopt without having to visit a shelter
· Make rescue cats more accessible, allowing us to adopt more felines and save more lives
· Educate the community about the importance of spay/neuter and the health benefits of having a pet
· Provide people with information about TNR, animal safety, how to find pet-friendly housing, etc.

C.A.T. Mobile Facts:
- The RV is 30 feet long and houses up to 10 cats or 15 kittens.
- All the felines are rescues - abandoned, surrendered or found by volunteers.
- A variety of breeds are chosen for mobile adoption events.
- The C.A.T. Mobile is climate controlled and available to attend any event at any time of the year.
- All animals adopted from the C.A.T. Mobile have had initial vaccinations, are spayed or neutered, tested for FIV/FeLV, dewormed and over the age of 8 weeks.
The C.A.T. Mobile will:
